| Hi Commissioners, I’m writing as a concerned resident and taxpayer. Please do not award the water-quality monitoring contract to Mote Marine. Mote has a direct financial relationship with Pier B and Mark Walsh. That’s a blatant conflict of interest—there’s no way they can be objective while being paid by the very people contributing to the pollution. This isn’t about politics, it’s about transparency, ethics, and protecting Key West’s water. We need an independent organization with zero ties to Pier B. Anything less is just a rigged game and the community knows it. Please do the right thing. Vote no. Best Regards, Lee Lapid |

That’s a textbook conflict of interest—and it’s unethical. Key West deserves transparency, clean water, and independent oversight—not rigged contracts and backroom alliances. Show up. Speak out.
