It’s Women’s Equality Day commemorating the enactment of the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote. This isn’t a right to be taken for granted. There are people in our country today who think this was a bad idea. Vigilance is the price of liberty! link
[Transgender Catholic School Shooter] Robin Westman, a 23-year-old transgender woman formerly named Robert Westman, opened fire at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis during a back-to-school Mass on Wednesday morning, killing two children and injuring at least 17 others before dying by suicide. Link
[Dead Reef] As traditional restoration of reefs fails to counter a coral collapse driven by climate change, scientists are looking toward the industrial-scale production of hardier, factory-bred babies. Link
[Spam Calls] Deer Abby, Lately my iPhone XS Max has been blowing up with “Potential Spam” calls — multiple a day. I know Apple flags them but it’s still annoying to have my phone constantly buzzing. I’ve tried blocking individual numbers but they just keep coming back from new ones. I don’t want to miss legit calls though, so turning on “Silence Unknown Callers” feels risky. Has anyone here found solid methods, apps, or carrier features that actually cut these calls down? I would love to hear what’s been working for you.

Deer  XS MAX,
Consider downloading a call-blocking app from the App Store for better spam detection and blocking capabilities.

[Friday Joke] I entered this competition to see who gained the most weight and lost the most hair. Obviously, it wasn’t called that. The invitation said, “High School Reunion”
[Social Media] We never saw it coming. “Humans have never had to deal with social media and algorithms that would create a platform in which you can cause millions of people to share the same grievance at the same time with the click of a couple of keystrokes, and the same platform that can spread that grievance like a wildfire pandemic also gives every one of those people who are now feeling a grief with the opportunity to gratify their revenge desires instantly by firing back retaliatory digital tweets back and forth and back and forth. And we’re just not adapted at all for this environment.”
~James Kimmel Jr. “The Science of Revenge.”
[Friday Joke] Once you have seen a woman take off her bra without removing her shirt, it makes more sense why they should be in charge of things.
[Movies] List of films that most frequently use the word f**k. Link
[Captain Doom and Gloom Survey] I sent out an email asking one simple question: “What would you do to fix planet Earth?”
Out of 137 emails, I received back 7 and all they said was, “Don’t you have anything better to do?” or “Who really cares?” We are not going to make it!
[Part 2] Just think, as you click on a country’s name, what this world would be like if that country’s culture was the whole world’s culture. IE:  Mother Earth  is 100% Uganda, Brazil, India, Russia, Tahiti or any other country. And some Americans think the US sucks.  If so, there’s the door!
[Cracker Barrel Logo] Cracker Barrel will ditch new ‘woke’ logo after backlash from Trump and others. With the country and the world going to hell in a hand basket, this is what keeps the MAGAs awake at night.
[Hello Republicans] Next Wednesday we will meet again at the Marathon American Legion   4115 Overseas Hwy. There will be a special presentation of photos to the American Legion from the family of W.A. Parrish who donated the land where the American Legion stands.
Andrea Leal and Chad Huff from Mosquito Control will be there with a PowerPoint presentation and an update on the current mosquito situation.
Republican City Council candidates Debra Struyf and David Perry will take five minutes each to introduce themselves and state their cases for the City Council seats.  Short Q&A to follow each candidate.
Richard Warner, fresh from a trip to the ‘Fatherland’, Germany, will provide insight and enlightenment as only he can.
We are looking for people to bring in to speak. Think of people you’d pay a few bucks to hear speak. We’ll take a quick poll. Our Matt Gaetz event a couple of years ago was very well received, he’s a tough act to follow and of course not a congressman, but he is a new father.
Questions, comments or concerns, contact Dale Schumacher 415-310-5915
5:30 Social. Meeting at 6PM. All registered Republicans are welcome. Invite your friends.

[Heavy Rain Can Make You Sick] Research indicates spikes in illness related to intense rainfall and combined sewer overflows. Every time it rains and every time you flush a toilet, all that water has to go somewhere. The path it takes has downstream consequences for public health. A growing body of research indicates that aging pipes and wastewater systems, combined with heavy rain events made more common with climate change, can boost your risk of becoming ill. Link
Romans for all their ingenuity never invented buttons.
[Church Shooter] Everyone is outraged and offers the same old platitudes and tears, but no one is willing to mention the big problem: The 2d Amendment! Not one talking head on radio or TV has mentioned the amendment. They’re all too scared. We all know that the 2d Amendment is outdated and is the problem and needs fixing.
The Earth Is pulsating every 26 seconds and seismologists don’t agree why. Like clockwork, seismometers across multiple continents have detected a mysterious pulse since at least the early 1960s. Link
[Daddy] A daughter has an open door to her father’s heart.
Should the Ten Commandments be displayed in government buildings, and does that violate the Constitution? In Southwest Florida, Collier County commissioners have concluded that’s okay so long as the foundation of Mosaic Law is accompanied by other historical records. Link
[Men Who Share Leonardo da Vinci’s DNA] They might prove where he’s buried. A genetic trail that stretches back to 1331 may finally confirm the resting place of a genius. Link

[Friday Joke] Kid: So Dad, why did Mom lock you out of the house?
Dad: She heard me on the phone with Uncle Steve talking about running errands.
Kid: So what did you guys do?
Dad: Steve went to get a used car, I went to the store to get a tool to scrape paint off of furniture.
Kid: What’s wrong with that?
Dad: Well all Mom heard was, “You go get the Escort, l’ll get the stripper and we’ll meet up at your place.”
