[Charlie Kirk] Our hearts are heavy as we grieve the loss of our dear friend and brother in Christ, Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated. Many of you already know this heartbreaking reality, and words feel inadequate in the face of such evil. What we can do is pray. We lift up his beloved wife Erika, their two precious children, Charlie’s parents and family, and the Turning Point family he built and loved, asking the Lord to cover them with His comfort and peace.

We have had the privilege of supporting Turning Point USA since its early days, and attending TPUSA events has always been a blessing for our team. To think that one young man, barely out of high school, had the vision and courage to create a movement that now reaches millions of young people and shapes the future of our nation is extraordinary. Charlie’s life was living proof that one person, fully surrendered to God, can change the course of history.

[“Historically, religion and faith have been this globe’s biggest killers”] I totally agree with that statement. I’m sorry that Tuesday’s poster was offended by that statement against his beliefs. Here’s some of history:
The Crusades: 6,000,000, Thirty Years War: 11,500,000, French Wars of Religion: 4,000,000, Second Sudanese Civil War: 2,000,000, Lebanese Civil War: 250,000, Muslim Conquests of India: 80,000,000, Congolese Genocide (King Leopold II): 13,000,000, Armenian Genocide: 1,500,000, Rwandan Genocide: 800,000, Eighty Years’ War: 1,000,000, Nigerian Civil War: 1,000,000, Great Peasants’ Revolt: 250,000, First Sudanese Civil War: 1,000,000, Jewish Diaspora (Not Including the Holocaust): 1,000,000, The Holocaust (Jewish and Homosexual Deaths): 6,500,000, Islamic Terrorism Since 2000: 150,000, Iraq War: 500,000, US Western Expansion (Justified by “Manifest Destiny”):20,000,000, Atlantic Slave Trade (Justified by Christianity): 14,000,000, Aztec Human Sacrifice: 80,000, AIDS deaths in Africa largely due to opposition to condoms: 30,000,000, Spanish Inquisition: 5,000
TOTAL: 195,035,000 deaths in the name of religion… and counting. These deaths and tragedies would not have happened without religion. Whether religion was the cause or an excuse, the facts remain. Link
Doha street lights are the most beautiful anywhere. They look like palm fronds that light up at night.
[Friday Joke] It is tough getting old. I went into an antique store and they wouldn’t let me leave. Then, last week I was at a sporting event, they hit me with a spotlight, I decided this is it, and started to walk towards the bright light.

[Mistakes Everyone Makes When Cooking Spam] Who doesn’t love Spam? After all, it’s basically savory canned ham and fat, and it can be incorporated into both breakfast meals and dinner entrees in a snap. Flavorful and versatile, Spam has become a beloved American culinary staple, and while it’s difficult to screw up the salty, precooked meat, there are definitely right and wrong ways to take it from the tin to the table. [Monroe County Wants Your Feedback] Business owners who own tourism-related businesses are encouraged to use this survey to provide general data to the County data about employee income levels, so they can set rents and minimum income levels appropriate for the future developments they are working on providing throughout the community. Take a moment to share your information by completing the survey here. It will remain open until Friday, September 26, and we thank you for completing it as soon as possible.
When cleaning your catch, don’t throw fish carcasses into canals or boat basins where they can add excess nutrients into the water. Instead, wrap the fish in newspaper and throw it away.  Excess nutrients use up oxygen that is needed by living fish and may cause undesirable algae blooms.

[Friday Joke] A man goes to see a divorce lawyer. “How much do you charge?” he asks. “A thousand dollars for three questions,” replies the lawyer.
“Isn’t that a bit steep?” the man asks.
“Yes,” replies the lawyer. “Now what’s your third question?”

Mark Volman, a founding member of the 1960s rock band the Turtles and singer known as “Flo” of Flo & Eddie, died in Nashville, Tenn. on Friday after a brief sudden illness. He was 78.
In the early 70’s he had a radio show on WKLA in Los Angeles that was outrageous. One time ‘Flo & Eddie’ got drunk on air to show people what alcohol can do. Another time they were smoking pot and drinking and Joan Biaz came to the studio while she was in the building for another interview and they totally ripped her a new one, making fun of her singing and imitating her. She walked out.

[Holy Deaths] To the poster who doesn’t know that religion has been the cause of most deaths in the world (other than disease): Spain’s devout Catholic King Phillip plunged Europe in a holy war in 1572 to spread Christianity, The Crusaders tried to reclaim the Holy Land, particularly Jerusalem, from Muslim control for centuries. The Conquistadors converted Aztecs to Christianity before stealing their gold and killing them. The Catholic Inquisition in Spain. Jihad, etc. Just about every major slaughter in history is based on religious beliefs.
[Fashion Police] I was going to criticize these well attired cruise crawlers, but they are self-explanatory. What better way to display the dignified self-respect we Americans have than to let the world see us as we really are.  I wish had a small Chateau de Dechets perfume stand with free samples.
[Friday Joke]  A man was trying to teach his young son the evils of alcohol. He put one worm in a glass of water and another worm in a glass of whiskey. The worm in the water lived, while the one in the whiskey curled up and died. “All right, son,” asked the father, “what does that show you?”
“Well, Dad, it shows that if you drink alcohol, you will not have worms.”
