1 cup water
salt
½ cup uncooked brown rice
½ cup milk
6 ounces evaporated milk
2 tablespoon sugar
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch nutmeg
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup raisins
- Bring water and brown rice to boil, simmer, covered 35 minutes. Rest 10 minutes. Fluff with fork.
- Stir in milk, evaporated milk, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg.
Simmer uncovered, stirring often, 40-50 minutes. - Remove from heat. Add vanilla and raisins.
