Pork Chop & Potato Casserole

Grease bottom of baking dish
Layer sliced raw potatoes, 1/2 inch thick on bottom
Sprinkle with salt (optional)
Brown pork chops in frying pan and add salt and pepper to chops if you wish
Place chops on top of potatoes
Fry onions until barely soft. Use plenty because fried onions are mild tasting
Spread onions evenly over chops and potatoes
Add 2 or 3 cans of tomato sauce and 1/2 can of water
Place in 350º oven for 1 to 1 1/4 hours — longer if chops are thick.
This meal is even better on the second day as leftovers, so I suggest that you make as big a portion as your baking dish will accommodate.
