[Death by Shotgun] The guy [Jay Miscovich] who pretended to find the phony emeralds in Key West killed himself yesterday in Pennsylvania. The Mel Fisher company accused him of fraud in the emerald find and claim.

[Conspiracy Man] According to reliable sources. Some frightening news is quietly circulating from certain individuals. Several prisons through out the U.S. are having trusted prisoners working on large metallic signs that read “Martial Law Is In Effect”. Several prisoners have leaked this information to their immediate family and friends. The prison system has been producing these large metallic signs since late 2012 to early 2013. These signs are then loaded on to a convoy of diesel tractor trailers for some time now.

There have been instances in which state and local highway law enforcement have pulled over truck drivers for one reason or another, and several of these drivers were carrying Martial Law Is In Effect signs stacked from front to back. When asked where these signs were to be delivered, the drivers were headed to a military base. Finding this peculiar, some officers have leaked this information.

Several truck drivers who weren’t carrying these signs or had no knowledge that these signs were being manufactured and then transported by some of their fellow truck drivers, had asked (out of curiosity) where these signs had been picked up and where are they being delivered to. The response was from prisons to military bases. Link

I wonder why the Citizen dropped the comments link after the stories in their online version?  Maybe too many local toes were being stepped on.  I always enjoyed reading “the rest of the story” that you could find there.

[“Real Tomato”] I bought brown tomatoes at WD and they were delicious, but they can’t be ‘real’ because tomatoes are supposed to come in red only. I sat and ate two of them with just with some salt. I never heard of brown tomatoes before. They were good.

Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t celebrate Halloween. I guess they don’t appreciate random people coming up to their doors.

On this date in 1517, Martin Luther (King Jr’s father) nailed his Ninety-Five Theses on the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany, in protest of the selling of papal indulgences. Today they cost more.

The hosts and sponsors of the Big Pine Community Haunted Laboratory would like to send a great big thank you to Luke and Lynn Akiss for their tireless dedication to the project and for pulling off one whale of a haunted house for the Big Pine community again this year.

There were so many other volunteers who worked to make this a great event, but these two deserve special recognition. Thanks.

[First UFO Sighting]  In 1938, Orson Welles’ radio production of “War of the Worlds” created panic in listeners who believed they were actually listening to reports of a Martian invasion. Sightings continue to this day.

Wow, really! You post an ill informed comment and really try to convince others that it’s a fact. UFO depictions go as far back as in the clay tablets scribed by the ancient Sumerians some 6,000 years ago. There are also Egyptian Hieroglyphics with UFO depictions. There are ancient Mezzo American petroglyphs with UFO depictions dated 2,000 B.C.E.

In 1492 a UFO sighting was logged by Christopher Columbus as the Nina, Pinta & Santa Maria were entering what is now known as the Bermuda Triangle. According to what Columbus entered in his Captains log. A bright light was shining in the ocean and was following all three vessels for several miles. The object suddenly flew out of the ocean and hovered above them in the night sky, and suddenly streaked into the heavens. The bright object returned and hovered above them and splashed back into the ocean. The following day they made landfall in Hispaniola. This type of object is known today as a USO, an Unidentified Submerged Object.

April 14th 1561 Nuremberg, Germany. “At sunrise on the 14th April 1561, the citizens of Nuremberg beheld “A very frightful spectacle.” The sky appeared to fill with cylindrical objects from which red, black, orange and blue white disks and globes emerged.” This was a massive UFO fleet witnessed by everyone in the town of Nuremberg at the time. The passage is a quote from the Nuremberg newspaper, and a wood carved etching depicting what was seen in the sky was added to that article.

The 1st recorded UFO sighting in colonial America was in 1639 right over the Charles river in Boston. The UFO sighting was witnessed and documented by Governor John Winthrop and 3 other credible witnesses.

I Don’t think Orson Welles was responsible for those documented sightings.

Coconuts is the place!

I have grown weary of all the excuses made for the poor. If you’re poor in America, you are either stupid, lazy or both. Some poor hate the rich simply because they remind themselves of their own inadequacies and failings. If you’re poor, get a better job and stop blaming everyone else for your lack of success. If you refuse, commit suicide and rid us of your foul presence.

turkey31What a funny take on Sarah Palin explaining how Jesus and the disciples celebrated Easter. Maybe the next time we will get how Jesus and the disciples dressed up as Pilgrims and Indians and had a real old time Thanksgiving dinner (no ham allowed), complete with name tags that looked like a turkey (made from tracing around your hand and cutting it out). Of course she is too busy to do that. Her regular job, for the NSA, is to spy on Russian President Putins’ house because as we all know she can see it from her house.

werewolf holloween

A Halloween poem
“Although a man may be pure at heart,
And say his prayers by night.
He may become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms,
And the Autumn moon is bright”.

From the original 1941 “The Wolfman” movie as said by the old gypsy woman Maleva (played by Maria Ouspenskaya) and said to Lawrence Talbot (who turns into a wolf played by Lon Chaney Jr.

Remakes of the old horror classics don’t do justice to the black and white scary movies of that era.  The original Frankenstein, The Mummy, The Wolfman and Dracula were the best.

[“Increase in gun violence”] The Sheriff knows what causes violence, gun or not, as they see hundreds of cases and have access via the FBI on thousands from all over the world. The Sheriff’s role is to uphold the law and use it to intervene in the interest of public safety. The “Stand your ground law” and it’s effectiveness or not is a matter for lawmakers to decide. So far with that oh so famous case where the defender was getting his head bashed in, it has cemented itself into the minds of millions of young violence using thugs that they can be sent straight to hell if they act on their impulses. That famous case also proved that significant physical evidence and witnesses if possible, to support the stated version of events is required or else an idiot prosecutor can call it plain murder and the defender could be facing a life or the death sentence. Has the law got people gun cocky? I think not

It appears that the CT has once again reached the saturation point with events outside of the Key’s realm. I would like to hear more about the following: Any Jersey girls here yet? If so describe them in detail. Any interesting snowbirds stories? Any new single women in the lower Keys or newly single ones? Or married ones that mess around? What bands are forming or breaking up? What is the Walmart/big box status? And finally,to ease the transition between national cut and paste and local gossip, grinder or gravity?

howard31So it is a happy event and you have plenty of people over to celebrate. The bathroom door has not seen so much exercise in years. Then somebody flushes a baby wipe or tampon. A few flushes later and the LPS sewer grinder pump high water alarm is sounding. “Tough luck folks, this party is over!” Too bad FKAA forced you to have that stinking, leaky, troublesome grinder pump pit in your yard instead of a much more reliable gravity sewer connection. But you stood by and let it happen. Anybody remember the 1976 movie “Network”? Here’s a 2 minute YouTube Video

FEMA flood program abuse, “special” insurance rates, forced central sewers and now grinder pumps. It is that time, folks, when we all need to start yelling, “I’M MAD AS HELL, AND I’M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!” The County and FKAA do not yet seem to understand that we do want individual grinder pumps stuck in our yards. Let FKAA can stick them somewhere else. Any suggestions?

Nosferatu, the full movie The first vampire movie. Originally released in 1922 as Nosferatu, Eine Symphonie Des Grauens, director F.W. Murnau’s chilling and eerie adaption of Stoker’s Dracula is a silent masterpiece of terror which to this day is the most striking and frightening portrayal of the legend. Movie

Could it be that the County will decide that they want Rowell’s Marina so badly for the 5 million price tag, that they will purchase it with our infrastructure monies that should go instead to eliminating the grinder pump plan?

[Grinder Pumps] This image was on Google images. Not sure if that means it in the public domain, but it is so appropriate, in a rather disgusting way.

Several recent articles have convincingly argued that while a modest number of folks didn’t realize “War of the Worlds” was just another production in a drama series they heard every week, the supposed panic was largely a creation of the press. Imagine that!

[“The Internet Says”] “The Sarah Palin article was written by a well-known satirical site. FTR is using data. Please tell me you get the difference. “

My god I wish there was a Sarcasm font. I put that article up to prove a point. That you can find anything on the web that supports your way of thinking, be it right or wrong.

The significant increase in flood insurance cost is designed to help reduce our national debt. Presently, FEMA is in the hole for about 30B. Now, FTR is a big champion of reducing debt. He should chime in on this issue because it is in our backyard. Will he? or is he only anti-Obama?

[“Obamacare legislation was written solely by Democrat legislators”] You really need to look at how the government actually works. ACA was heavily impacted and many parts written by insurance companies with scads of money to throw at Congress. Time and time again our elected representatives have shown they can be bought for as little as a $1,000 (i.e. campaign contributions). Do you honestly think that people in Congress sat down and wrote the ACA? Most have not even read it. O should have gone for single payer or nothing at all. In other words, he sold out.

Somehow the ever screwed up Obama US economy has bumbled it’s way to a  record tax windfall for the Federal Government.   How did this come to be?  This must be some mistake.   I think that most of this pile should be immediately apportioned out to the elite top wealthy 1%  of our citizens who can make the best use of it.   After all, you can always use another immense mansion to rattle around in,  and just think of all the illegal aliens you can put to work building it.   I am sure our Founding Fathers and Sarah Palin would approve.  The rest of us will just have to keep buying those lottery tickets.

How Obama overlooked 10 million americans who could lose health insurance. Link

These quotes are from President Thomas Jefferson and should be passed around so that we do not forget. Great words from a long time ago which pertain to today. “The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.” “A government big enough to give you everything you want, is a government big enough to take away everything that you have.” “When government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.” President Jefferson was not only a founding father ,he was considered brilliant, then and now.

tom31Third President, 1801-1809
Thomas Jefferson was truly a Renaissance man. A brilliant scholar, inventor, naturalist, and architect, Jefferson played the violin, spoke six languages, conducted archeological investigations of Native American mounds, founded the University of Virginia, and assembled a 10,000-book library which became the foundation of the Library of Congress. His writing talent produced the historic Declaration of Independence, the document that boldly told King George that the colonies would no longer accept his rule. Jefferson’s political savvy led him to hold a number of governmental positions before becoming president: he was elected to the Virginia House of Burgesses when he was only 25, served in the Continental Congress, became governor of Virginia, a diplomat in Europe where he helped negotiate the treaties that ended the Revolutionary War, secretary of state under Washington, and vice president under John Adams. During his presidency, Jefferson doubled the size of the country by purchasing the territory of Louisiana.

Thank you FTR for admitting that new sources said there were thousands of people at the Million veteran rally not the “tens of thousands’ You seemed to imply.
Stretching the numbers that far seems a bit extreme.
By the way not one of your links worked. One of your links even stated that it may have never existed. The websites words not mine.Whenever Mitt Romney the republican Presidential Candidate for the republican party mandated health insurance for citizens in Mass. there were only 123 people signed up during the first month total. Talk about glitches. Take a second and do a little research on the website issues when Bush put thru the unfunded prescription drug plan for folks trying to sign up.

Obama didn’t lie about keeping your insurance policy. He got bamboozled trying to please everyone and not pleasing anyone. He’s a weak President.

from the right

The ACA roll out has become an excruciating pain for all involved, left, right, and in between. I have no doubt but that Team Obama will ultimately throw enough money at the mess to make it  functional, even if only barely and inefficiently.  The only question is when!

The real problems with the mechanics of the ACA will not begin until sometime after January 1st, 2014.  Signing up the clients will be the easy part, the problem will come with managing patient records, paying bills, tracking scofflaws, enforcing enrollment, providing security for data, etc. etc. etc.  The bill is so huge, so wide, and so complex in its grasp that it is impossible not to believe that given the skill levels displayed at the roll out that the actual management of patient affairs will not be a massive cluster fork. We’ve already seen that Verizon who is providing “cloud” data hub support has had crashes that shut down the system.

This is to say nothing about what will happen when the employer mandate kicks in next year. That event will  double or triple the problem of the single payer system. It will be a massive snafu.

weaselIt is aggravating as hell to hear Team Obama trying to weasel out of his serial promise “If you like your health care insurance, you will be able keep it, period”  One of Team Obama’s latest weasel whistles is their claim that it was a business decision of the various insurance issuers to cancel policies. The fatal flaw in that claim is that the ACA required so many new benefits that it was impossible for the insurers to keep the policies in place.

When it all shakes out we will find that many, if not most people are paying very little or next to nothing for their health insurance. Somebody must pick up the tab. If you are middle class, that means you. The inescapable fact is that under Obama’s governance, more people receive means tested welfare than actually  work for a living. Therefore, the minority, the middle class will see a huge increase in their health care premiums, a huge increase in deductibles, and a huge increase in co pays.  When it all shakes out we will see a maelstrom of lost patient records and a windfall for identity thieves who have access to the ACA data bases. We will see the quality of health care and the availability of health care plummet. It’s inevitable.

Look, Deer Friends, the foregoing is not the maunderings of this Olde Fart, the Washington Post, Fact Checker has granted Obama 4 Pinocchio’s for Obama’s pledge that ‘no one will take away’ your health plan. Translation: Obama lied. Link
