[Frankenskeeters] Dr. John Norris was on US1 Radio’s  “Morning Magazine at 7:45 Friday morning, with reasons opposing Oxitec GMO mosquitos.  GMO Proponents are not looking at any side effects. Listen from 24:28  – 28:24 Audio

[Vaccine] Over 167 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the United States from December 14, 2020, through April 5, 2021. During this time, VAERS received 2,794 reports of death (0.00167%) among people who received a COVID-19 vaccine. CDC and FDA physicians review each case report of death as soon as notified and CDC requests medical records to further assess reports. A review of available clinical information including death certificates, autopsy, and medical records revealed no evidence that vaccination contributed to patient deaths. CDC and FDA will continue to investigate reports of adverse events, including deaths, reported to VAERS. [Stupid Locals] After reading Friday’s CT it sunk in again how childish and stupid the locals are in the Keys. All live in cloud 9 and will not face reality in any form. I will never depend on anyone down here, ever! And when the editor changes what people post, that should be illegal.
Do people go to social media just to look for negative things? Is everyone online grouchy?
[20:20] Being twenty in the seventies was much more fun than being seventy in the twenties

[Word of the Day] Pall. A pall is the cloth that covers a coffin.

[“Nothing should grow in the Keys except mangroves and a few palm trees”] What about the thousands of plants and trees native to south Florida and the Keys? No gumbo limbo? Green Buttonwood, ink wood, poison wood, thatch palm, palmetto, pines, sea grape, wild coffee, Jamaican dogwood, pigeon plum, West Indian mahogany, silver buttonwood ? To name just a few. Other than the shoreline where the mangroves grow, this place would be a barren desert
[Culling Black Men] The Minnesota police chief was almost crying when he said he only wants what’s best for the City and its people. It was really heartfelt. Then a reporter asked, “If so, how come when you told the protesters to move across to the other sidewalk and they complied, you tear-gassed them right away?”

[Forgiving Debt] Perhaps they should look at forgiving medical debt for cancer patients instead of student loans. Education is a choice, cancer is not. Forgive any medical debt for that matter.

[Redux] Deer Ed, In the Friday joke, without the image of her huge diamond ring, this joke is nothing.

“Pasquale died. His will provided $40,000 for an elaborate funeral. As the last guests departed, his wife Angelina turned to her oldest and dearest friend, “Ah well, Pasquale would be pleased.” she said. “You’re right,” replied Maria, who lowered her voice and leaned in close.

“So go on, how much did this funeral really cost?” “All of it,” said Angelina. “Forty thousand.” “Aw, no!” Maria exclaimed, “I mean, it was very grand, but $40,000?” Angelina answered, “The funeral was $6,500. I donated $500 to the church. The whisky, wine and snacks were another $500. The rest went for the Memorial Stone.” Maria computed quickly.
“Mama mia! For the love of God!  Angelina, $32,500 for a memorial stone? How big is it?”

The streets on the left side of Ship’s Way, across from the Nurse’s Station, are named for aircraft carriers, I think. Ranger, Independence, Saratoga, and Forrestal.

I wonder what Friday’s poster meant by the “cancel culture” then something about “thought police”?
I’m addicted to the George Floyd trial. It’s great TV. The ultimate crime drama. I now know all about the respiratory system, heart, and lethal force. Did you know if a heart artery is severely narrowed the heart will make veins to get blood to that part of the heart that is not getting it? Next week I’ll learn a lot more when the defense has it’s turn.
I haven’t seen any TV so good since the O.J. Simpson trial. That was really great TV. I watched the whole thing almost everyday for a month.
[“Mangrove Mama’s sold again”] Just because it took Mandy Mile two years to write the story, CT implies that the sale was recent. (Ed: thanks for that. the CT doesn’t have reporters. You folks are the reporters. I post what you tell me to. Send A Comment
[Guns] Patriots, The CEO of Levi Strauss has called for stronger gun control measures. Teach corporate America to stay out of politics, burn your Levi’s!

URGENT UPDATE: Take them off first!

[Great Navigators] He forwarded a letter to the captain, which had been written for him by Diogo Dias with an iron pen upon a palm leaf, as is the custom of the country (Calcutta), and which was intended for the King of Portugal. The tenor of this letter was as follows:— “Vasco da Gama, a gentleman of your household, came to my country, whereat I was pleased. My country is rich in cinnamon, cloves, ginger, pepper, and precious stones. That which I ask of you in exchange is gold, silver, corals and scarlet cloth.” ~1521 Vasco da Gama
What’s wrong with the Minnesota police? Do they actually have a kill Black men culture in the Department? They need to clean house and stop killing black men for minor infractions and misdemeanors.
[Volcano Erupts on Caribbean’s St. Vincent] Evacuation is going on. Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves said in a press conference that people have to be vaccinated if they go aboard a cruise ship or are granted temporary refuge on another island. He said two Royal Caribbean cruise ships were expected to arrive Friday and a third in the coming days, as well as two Carnival cruise ships. Islands that have said they would accept evacuees include St. Lucia, Grenada, Barbados, and Antigua. The volcano last erupted in 1979, and a previous eruption in 1902 killed some 1,600 people. Link

Saying “as God as my witness” seems a little redundant, doesn’t it? After all, God isn’t going to come down here and sign an affidavit out of fear of blowing the whole invisible mystique thing he has going on
