[Hate] Germany 1936. Any national not of “German or related blood” was thereby relegated to the status of a subject of the state. The effect was to strip German Jews of their citizenship and all associated rights beginning in January of 1936. The Blood Law—formally, the Law for the Protection of German Blood and German Honor— forbade the marriage of Jews and non-Jews; nullified any such marriages made in defiance of the law, even if carried out in a foreign nation; forbade extramarital sexual relations between Jews and non- Jews; forbade Jews from employing female Germans under the age of forty-five in their homes; and forbade Jews from displaying the newly anointed national flag. And that, as it would turn out, was just for starters.
[Con-men] It’s easy to make a fool of an honest person.
I bought a new laptop with the Intel Core i5 processor instead of paying for the top-of-the-line Core i7 processor for two hundred dollars more. I read that the i5 was faster than the powerful i7 chip. They are correct, the i5 is faster than the i7. What a pleasant surprise. My dead computer had the i7 chip and this new laptop is the same brand, same size, with the same features, so the comparison is easy. The i5 is faster.
Progress isn’t made by early risers. It’s made by lazy men trying to find easier ways to do something.  ~Robert A. Heinlein
[Wounded Warrior Bicycle Riders] The riders will arrive in Key Largo at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10211, at 8AM on January 6, 2023. If possible, please come to the VFW Post at MM 102 next to KLI, and welcome these combat wounded veterans with an enthusiastic send-off, as these disabled veterans begin their bike riding journey to Key West. We’re working on having enough bagels, cream cheese, donuts, coffee, and juice to go around for everyone.

If you can’t make it to the VFW Post, perhaps you can give them a wave as they head South on US1 to their first rest stop at Coral Shores High School. The enormous effort generated by State Attorney Dennis Ward and Sheriff Rick Ramsay over the course of approximately 14 years, has provided these seriously injured men and women with a significant therapeutic opportunity that has positively changed their lives. Without the steadfast coordination and committed contributions of our students, school staff, parents, Sheriff’s Deputies, Fire Fighters/Rescue, EMT’s, Ambulance Corps, First Responders FKEC, FKAA and a grateful community; the recovery of these veterans from their combat trauma would be incomplete. Miracles happen on these rides. It’s a magical event. Thank you.

[Sherman’s March to the Sea] 1865 General Stoneman is under my command, and my order will suspend any devastation or destruction contemplated by him. I will add that I really desire to save the people of North Carolina the damage they would sustain by the march of this army through the central or western parts of the State.

[Never Too Old To Rock] Where the hell is my Led Zepplin?

[Friday Joke] The importance of walking. Walking can add minutes to your life. This enables you at 85 years old to spend an additional 5 months in a nursing home at $4,000 per month. My grandpa started walking five miles a day when he was 60. Now he’s 97 years old and we have no idea where the hell he is. I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me. The only reason I would take up walking is so that I could hear heavy breathing again.
