[Two Year Old Slanderous Flyer]“Last year a 2-page slanderous flyer about the Coconut Telegraph Newspaper [Ed: Not associated in any way with bigpinekey.com’s Coconut Telegraph] was distributed at the Murray Nelson Government Center, local clubs and businesses. … They did not realize that I have a website tracker with which I can tell who has been visiting the site and spending how many hours, even days, on it. I narrowed down the IP address to the Murray Nelson Building…Why would anyone be so vicious and vindictive to a little newspaper?” Your post was very intriguing, as you intended it. In response (and I have no affiliation with anybody at the county or KL Gov Center), have you reported this alleged misuse to the county IT director Mr Ward or the county attorney? If not, why not? And why now – why are you bringing this up a year later? Could it be that you’re really just trying to create attention for your “little newspaper”? And on that point, we all know when it comes to newsprint, size does not matter. It’s the content that makes the reputation. Also interesting that you have never posted here on CT before. |

[Fisherman Asshole] A Stock Island fisherman charged with yanking a biologist diver from 55 feet of water to the surface last year near the Western Dry Rocks — reportedly because she was in his fishing spot — could spend a year in jail. Diver Alison Johnson, a biologist with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Marine Research Institute, was collecting data on the mutton snapper spawn on the seafloor just south of the Western Dry Rocks on May 9 when Bamford grabbed the dive flag that was attached to her, and used the line to drag her topside in less than a minute, Johnson told Bamford she needed to decompress, or remain submerged for a time after being at that depth, but instead the fisherman began arguing with her about ruining his fishing spot. Eventually, Johnson convinced Bamford to release the line so she could dive and decompress, but by that time she was suffering from a severe headache and made her way back to an FWC research boat, where fellow scientists treated her en route to shore. Johnson was taken to Lower Keys Medical Center, where she was treated and released. |

[CT Junkie] Well, it never fails, as I retire to bed at night I grab my iPad to read the Telegraph and no matter how hard I try, I always read Contact us, blah blah, almost to the end every time it’s there for fear I might miss something, I guess. [DirecTV Guy] “I am sure Sammy is good at installing Directv systems, but I wonder if people realize how good he is at playing bongos? When he sits in with a band, the percussion section goes from good to awesome.” Thank you, from the bottom of my heart! You have no idea how much that post means to me. I always believe that, there’s nothing better than doing what you love to do. By the way, if anyone missed my response to Friday’s question on how pricing changes on the 2nd year with DirecTV, it was posted on yesterdays C.T. Thank you all for your wonderful support and I will continue to be the best at what I love to do. ~SammySam |

Lindsay Boehner, the anti-pot House Speaker’s eldest daughter, is getting ready to make babies with Jamaica-born construction worker Dominic Lakhan. Have you seen a picture of her? Farm fed she is. “Dime thick” is what they’d call her down island. My bet is in the future John Boehner will be a lobbyist against dead-beat dads.

The disgraceful episode of Lysenkoism brings us the global warming theory. Link Lysenko was embraced and lionized by the Soviet media propaganda machine. Scientists who promoted Lysenkoism with faked data and destroyed counterevidence were favored with government funding and official recognition and award. Lysenkoism was “politically correct” (a term invented by Lenin) because it was consistent with certain broader Marxist doctrines. Lysenko and his followers and media acolytes responded to critics by impugning their motives, and denouncing them as bourgeois fascists resisting the advance of the new modern Marxism. This same practice of Lysenkoism has long been under way in western science in regard to the politically correct theory of man caused, catastrophic, global warming. That theory serves the political fashions of the day in promoting vastly increased government powers and control over the private economy. Advocates of the theory are lionized in the dominant Democrat party controlled media in the U.S., and in leftist controlled media in other countries. Critics of the theory are denounced as “deniers,” and even still bourgeois fascists, with their motives impugned. |

[Shootout] Tennessee’s NBC affiliate reported yesterday: “A TVA spokesperson confirmed that a security officer patrolling TVA Watts Bar Nuclear Plant in Spring City was involved in a shootout with a suspect Sunday at about 2:00 a.m. The security incident happened on the Tennessee River side of the plant property, more than a quarter mile from the plant’s protected area, which houses its reactor and power production facilities. TVA spokesperson Jim Hopson said the subject traveled up to the plant on a boat and walked onto the property. When the officer questioned the suspect, the individual fired multiple shots at the officer. The officer shot back, and when he called for backup, the suspect sped away on his boat.” This occurrence has been classified as an “unusual event,” — the lowest of four emergency designations. But let’s not forget that US intelligence has found indications that Al Qaeda is interested in targeting nuclear and chemical plants. So what does all this mean? If reporters were doing their jobs, the linked piece would tell us how often events like this occur. It’s hard to imagine that armed men show up frequently at nuclear power plants in the middle of the night — but if they do, that’s news, too, right? |

WASHINGTON (AP) — America’s blacks voted at a higher rate than other minority groups in 2012 and by most measures surpassed the white turnout for the first time, reflecting a deeply polarized presidential election in which blacks strongly supported Barack Obama while many whites stayed home. |
Bush, who inherited a budget surplus when he was elected, and the Republicans were running things when our National Debt shot up and our banking system collapsed taking with it the rest of the World’s banks. They even tried to kill off our auto industry just to end the unions that they hate. Yet all this has been drowned out by the GOP as they loudly beat their Benghazi drum daily on their propaganda outlet, Fox News, hoping to undermine Hillary’s chances to be President. |

I applaud FTR admitting that the Republicans pushed through budgets cuts that they demanded for Embassy security before the Bengazi attacks. The Republicans got their way. Now they play the usual game of “Its Obama’s fault”. |
[Press Club Dinner Causes Revolution] Isn’t it nice to know that while regular working Joe Americans are being laid off, getting reduced hours and pay, our tax dollars are being spent by our President on a big shindig dinner, laughing and drinking it up on our dime. Never mind those park workers and tour guides losing their jobs, we just have to have that White House Press Dinner. Overworked and short staffed air traffic controllers risking lives – oh well. What a huge slap in the face! Can you hear revolution in the air? |

FROM THE RIGHT |
The Brookings Institute has released a study that will be of great interest to politicos everywhere. They have determined that in the ’12 election blacks voted at a higher rate than other minority groups, and by most measures surpassed the white turnout for the first time. Blacks strongly supported Barack Obama while many whites stayed home. Further it is reported that had people voted last November at the same rates they did in 2004, when black turnout was below its current historic levels, Republican Mitt Romney would have won the popular vote narrowly, according to an analysis conducted for The Associated Press. Perhaps most interesting is the report that using census data on eligible voters and turnout, along with November’s exit polling, the AP study by Brookings, estimated total votes for Obama and Romney under a scenario wherein 2012 turnout rates for all racial groups matched those in 2004. Overall, 2012 voter turnout was roughly 58 percent, down from 62 percent in 2008 and 60 percent in 2004. Had white voters participated at the levels of the 2004 election, Romney would have narrowly won the popular vote. More significantly, the battleground states of Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Florida and Colorado would have tipped in favor of Romney, handing him the presidency if the outcome of other states remained the same. Latinos are now the biggest driver of U.S. population growth, but they still trail whites and blacks in turnout and electoral share, because many of the Hispanics in the country are children or noncitizens. Perhaps even more interesting is the fact that 2 heavy hitter Democrat pols in Indiana have just been convicted of voter fraud. They were convicted of forging voter names on petitions to enable Obama and Clinton to be presidential candidates. The prosecutor has determined that they had forged enough names in support of Obama that had the names not been forged, Obama would not have had sufficient names to qualify as a candidate. WOW! Part 2) We all know that this last winter was a real ordeal for folks not living in the tropics. There were many records broken for snow fall and for cold. According to the NCDC records website, 10,167 record lows have fallen so far in 2013 in the United States, compared to only 2,185 for the same time period in 2012. In the last week there were 2,901 record lows, only seven record highs! Additionally, 5,000 snowfall records have been broken so far this year. Spring is here, but the record breaking continues. It’s just now being reported that the only year when the spring started colder was 1975. Do you suppose that all this record cold is being caused by global warming?
