an_apple-mcintoshThe Macintosh computer is dying — again, and this time it’s likely for real. Last quarter Apple sold 4.2 million Macs, missing analyst estimates by nearly one million units. Apple’s Mac business was down 16 percent year over year on a weekly sales basis compared to the overall PC market, which was down 6 percent, according to IDC. 

The reason? People are buying iPhones and iPads instead of the more powerful Mac’s, using consoles instead for 3D gaming. Apple has already discontinued the XServer, XRaid and 17″ MacBook Pro, the Mac Pro is currently being eyed for termination. Later generations of OS X are being morphed into iOS, in fact the next version 10.9, will have Siri and more iOS features added to it.

Apple is basically at fault, for introducing less expensive, thus less profitable devices. Their reasoning they give is, if they don’t do it, someone else would have. Also people are finding out they can do just fine with less and still get their Apple fix, instead of having a fully capable computer at their disposal. So Apple will survive, just not the expensive Macs. The stock of course has been going south.

The scholarship is for local students, ages 14 to 18 to attend the BS&S spring session on Monday and Wednesday evenings beginning February 25th and ending March 13, 2013.

Successful completion of the course qualifies the scholarship recipient for the State of Florida Boating Education ID card. This card qualifies persons 14 years of age and older to operate a personal water craft (PWC) and motorized vessels on Florida waterways. Personal instruction is given students attending Flotilla 13-03’s Boating Safety and Seamanship classes.

[Operating Systems] Who is using what operating system: Windows 7 adoption is currently at 45% (and rising), XP at 39% (and dropping), OS x at 7% (and dropping), Vista at 5.6% (and dropping) Windows 8 at 1.8% (people are not liking it). Android and iOS use are shooting through the roof. If one needs Windows 7 on a new hardware it can be gotten still (instead of being force fed Windows 8) provided you state your preference for Win 7 and preferably a business requirement to online PC vendors. Win 8 is going over worst than Vista did, so just wait it out.

As determined by the crystal geometry, paraselenae are seen at an angle of 22 degrees or more from the Moon. Compared to the bright lunar disk, paraselenae are faint and easier to spot when the Moon is low.

So, quit your bitching. We’re stuck with this. [USDA slaughters thousands of birds]  Something is very, very wrong in our country today, the United States government is killing  thousands of birds with their Bye Bye Blackbird campaign. The USDA took responsibility for hundreds of dead starlings that were found on the ground and frozen in trees in South Dakota and Arkansas. The USDA’s Wildlife Services Program, said it used an avicide poison called DRC-1339.   This out of control agency must be stopped.

Not only is the message rife with spelling and grammar errors, it lists the wrong address. When Facebook took off, it moved from Palo Alto, CA, to Menlo Park, CA. The scammer is hoping to scare you so much that you miss these details.

What happens if you do click the link? It loads a 5-page “security check” that not only asks for your Facebook information, but your credit card number, too. Once the scammer has these, it sends the message out to your entire friends list. Who knows what sort of shady things it will try to do with your financial information.

Fixing peoples computers is fun, but to have to clean all the dirt sucked in by the cooling fans is a royal mess, especially if it is a desktop that is kept on a carpet and there are cats and dogs in the house. I have seen computers with so much hair and dirt inside that it is a wonder the house did not burn down from an over heated computer. Clean them people, it does not take a rocket scientist to do that, and keep them off the floor, that is why they are called desk tops!

The essence of Obama’s second inaugural. There he declared: “What binds this nation together … what makes us exceptional – what makes us American – is our allegiance to an idea, articulated in a declaration made more than two centuries ago.” Obama then quoted our Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” Our “union,” Obama went on, was “founded on the principles of liberty and equality.” Nice prose – and transparent nonsense. 

How could the American Union have been founded on the principle of equality, when “equality” is not mentioned in the Constitution, the Bill of Rights or the Federalist Papers? How could equality be a founding principle of a nation, six of whose 13 original states had legalized slavery, and five of whose first seven presidents owned slaves all their lives? What Obama preached in his inaugural was not historical truth but progressive propaganda, an Orwellian rewrite of American history.

That cartoon titled “The Republican Revolt” is funny, but shamefully, very true.

Remember the most recent school shooting? The one at Lone Star Community College?  Remember Obama’s quote after the Trayvon Martin shooting, reflecting if he only had a son. Now he has three. Instead of running just crime statistics to show issues with gun laws, we need to run the demographics and geographical locations with them. You’ll find that places with the highest number of shootings also have the strictest gun laws. Chicago, Detroit, NY, Maryland, NJ etc, which are also heavily populated urban areas. The lame stream media won’t report that, they’re not allowed to.

The wild and crazy Republicans are back at it. You know the same 40% of republicans that have been polled and believe our President wasn’t born in America, They are back in the news.

Birther Queen Orly Taitz is now claiming that she has the abilty to have our President arrested in Connecticut. I can see it now her leading our President in handcuffs to former Republican Vice Presidential candidate Donald Trumps  plane for the trip to a federal prison. The Queen of the Republicanparty says she has supporters in Connecticut who are willing to sign a petition claiming that Obama has violated election law in that state. Taitz, a lawyer fromRancho Santa Margarita, California is claiming that Obamas Social security number was issued in Connecticut. Here’s where it get really entertaining. She claims that Obamas SS number was from a man named Harry Bounel whom is related to Michelle Obamas step-great grandmother and that the first lady may have claimed to be married to Bounel.  The Pachyderm poop is getting even deeper. Taitz is just returning from her trip to Washington where she was going to picket the White House for 12 hours. Instead she was forced to move to Union Station because of events from the Inauguration. The Birther Queen also called on the 80,000 people who watched a youtube video of her to help picket the White House.  I bet I know one anti – Obama cool guy that cant wait to get to D.C. and join in on the fun. Its hard to believe that at one time 40% of all republicans believe our President wasn’t born in America. Too funny.

RayNagin27Re: Ray Nagin, corrupt Democrat.  The other day a poster claimed that the party affiliation of ex-mayor of The Big Easy was inconsequential.  That poster was wrong. The corruption in the chronically Democrat Big Easy was part of the warp and weave of Democrat political control of the city. The fact that most major media outlets refused to list Nagin’s political party speaks volumes of the liberal media bias. Had Nagin been a Republican, that would have been above the fold front page news. Hey, check it out for yourself. There will be media accounts of corrupt politcos, sad but true. Check out if the party affiliation of each is listed.

Part 1B) Speaking of headlines, do you recall any mainstream headlines that have reported that we are enduring the longest recession recovery since the end of WW2. As of now, it’s been about 43 months since recession actually ended. Far too few jobs are being created so as to reemploy the millions who remain unemployed. Today, we are still about 3 million jobs away from pre-recession levels. Spiffy, But, Obama does give great speech!

But that horrible fact pales when you realize that as of today, there are 5,273,000 more American unemployed than there were before the recession in June 2007.  I’ll remind you that the recession began one year after the Democrats took control of Congress, I’ll remind you that the Democrats have had effective control of the Legislative and Executive branches of our government for the past 6 years.  After 6 years of Democrat fiddling, our economy is in shambles. Walk proud Democrats! Your governance has just set yet another record. As of last Thursday, the Federal Reserve revealed that its holdings of U.S. government debt had increased to an all-time record of $1,696,691,000,000 as of the close of business on Wednesday. That’s special because the The Fed’s holdings of U.S. government debt have increased by 257 percent since Obama was first inaugurated on Jan. 20, 2009.  The Fed is currently the single largest holder of U.S. government debt. By the end of November, Mainland China owned about $1,170,100,000,000 in U.S. government debt. That means that we owe China more money than anyone else, Isn’t that nice!  Now, here’s something that’s sure to warm the cockles of every liberal heart:

But don’t you wonder if there is no difference between men and women in combat, why should there be Academy award based on gender. Shouldn’t Tinsel Town ban any award that is gender based?  Why should there be a best Female actress (whoops, I forgot that the term actress is banned), while there is a separate award for best male actress. Hey, how about a Women’s Nobel Peace prize in physics!
