[Planting Coral] “Uncorking Hope: Summer Sips for Coral Restoration” on August 16th, 2024 from 2:00pm until 4:00 pm at My New Joint in Cudjoe Key. We will be celebrating the message of hope that coral restoration and the work that Plant a Million Corals Foundation continues to share with the community. With 50,000 corals at the facility, and new innovations in coral restoration technology every day, Plant a Million Corals is looking forward to raising a glass with you as a supporter of our work.

My New Joint is providing a wine tasting with curated small bites offering to all attendees. Meet the team of scientists working at Summerland Farms while supporting the efforts of the organization. Bid on a diverse array of silent auction items to raise money for coral restoration in our backyard. Enjoy live music and signature cocktails from Bombora Vodka. This event sold out last year so get your tickets while they last! Link

What happened to Mr Dembrowski? He was a community leader and I think the head of the Boy’s Club until he was caught with his hand in the till. He was a nice guy and community leader until he wasn’t.

[China Spy Balloons] Did we actually catch any of them intact? Couldn’t they use the same “claw” that the slow plane used in WWII to pick up single important people from enemy territory without landing. They’d harness the person to a cable attached to a balloon. A slow plane would fly by and an “arm” would snag the cable going from the VIP to a balloon above him and zip him up and away before the enemy could interfere.

[3D Printing is Dead] if you have been into 3D printing a little bit longer, you must have noticed that over the last 5 years, a huge number of vibrant brands died. Basically every country in Europe and many states in the USA had a couple of their own machines and the industry was very very creative in that regard. Somebody brought an innovation, others adopted it and shared it back. Link
