[‘Dog Tied’ Penises] In Ancient Greece and Rome it was common—trendy, even—for young people with penises to grasp the ends of their foreskins, pull them up over the glans, and use pieces of sticky paper or strips of string or leather to fasten them shut. In doing so, they essentially bundled the glans of the penis snugly into a little goodie bag, ensuring it wouldn’t peek out to say hello while they were playing sports (or just plain playing) in the buff.
A smaller penis was considered a sign of self-control and intellect, while a large one—especially if it didn’t have a foreskin to hide demurely inside of—was a sign of barbarism. Link |

[Oatmeal] “They were only fed gruel…” What is gruel food? Gruel is a simple type of food made by combining a cereal grain, such as oats, rice, wheat, or cornmeal, with water or milk (or a combination of both) and cooking it until it reaches a porridge-like consistency. Link |

[Martial Law] South Korea President Yoon declares martial law. South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol declared an “emergency martial law,” Tuesday accusing the country’s opposition of controlling the parliament, sympathizing with North Korea and paralyzing the government with anti-state activities. Yoon made the announcement during a televised briefing. He declared the step as critical for defending the country’s constitutional order. It wasn’t immediately clear how the steps would affect the country’s governance and democracy.
Yoon since taking office in 2022 had struggled to push his agendas against an opposition-controlled parliament. The rest of the world is trying to figure out why Yoon did this. Link |
