![]() An additional feature in its beta state is the Contact FTR form which will bring back the national politics section. There is no need for you to submit your email address or name. It will all be done anonymously. The From The Right guy won’t know who you are so please be civil. The biggest change of all will be that our new theme is designed for smartphones. Most people read the CT on smartphones and this new theme will be much easier to read and will require less zooming, pinching and squeezing on your little screen. We hope you like it because it’s taken me almost two years to learn how to get this far.) |

[Sewers] A poster said that Lee, Banks and Dump the Pumps would have a conflict of interest representing Big Pine and the Lower Keys. Why? Being against the “Neugent Pumps” is a Lower Keys fight. The last time I checked, Big Pine was a part of the Lower Keys. We all have to put up a united front to beat this thing. Post a No Trespassing sign, do not allow them on your property and donate what you can to the fight. Dump the pumps! |

Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle. And so we must straighten our backs and work for our freedom. A man can’t ride you unless your back is bent. ~Martin Luther King, Jr. |

[“Jury duty”] I thought our Deer Ed had a well written, well thought out article about jury duty with appropriate observations. That should have been enough about that. No reason to beat a dead dog. Also, there is a warning sign before the politics zone. Personally, I read it as “stop here”, but the choice to read it or not is up to the individual reader. |
[Starbucks fake out] Those of you who collect Starbucks mugs (and you know who you are) are going to love this. The American brewmeisters are selling these coffee cups in Japan that look like they’re full even when they’re flipped upside down or on their sides. You might want to have your first cup o’ Joe before tormenting your mind with a fake mocha latte. They’re made by a company called Nendo. No word yet on whether they’re coming to America. |

[CT’s major turnoffs] Jury Duty talk was enough, but FTR’s latest sick obsession with executing people is quite enough thank you. Talk about happy things, we are in paradise after all. Set the mood, don’t let the State set it for you because all they have is depression, fear, punishment, death and taxes. Those of us who live within the law and are happy don’t need to hear it. |

[Shark] In this video a 14ft 700lb hammerhead is fought, caught and released from the beach. The very large male shark was released to fight another day. It was caught on a 14/0 penn senator reel and custom rod. We only use circle hooks as to ensure maximum health of the fish. They land the Hammerhead on a Florida beach about 2:35 min into the fight. [Big Brother calls for end to NSA’s bulk phone data collection] The reported proposal would require only that phone companies only keep the records for the 18 months currently required by federal law and allow the government to see certain records when the request is approved by a federal judge. Currently, the government holds onto those phone records for five years so the numbers can be searched for national security purposes. Link |

Currently the only method to defeat cell phone tracking (or them turning it on to listen in) is to remove the battery. In the case of phones with no removable battery, you must use a Faraday Cage bag. It blocks all incoming and outgoing electronic signals. Watch this video to see just how effective cell phone tracking can be in determining your behavior patterns. Scary isn’t it? Video |

Tom Malone said if he were king he would have the Navy exercise eminent domain and buy back all its own property in Key West, which it had given away or sold: Truman Waterfront , Truman Annex, Peary Court. Bahama Village is given its originally-intended 6.6 acres. The Navy turns Key West back into a major Navy Base, by bringing in lots of new Navy personnel and operations, because Key West is strategically located for a major Navy Base. Rejuvenate Key West in that way. |

Robert Lavern Henry had been convicted of the brutal slaying of two co-workers. The jury recommended the death penalty, the judge concurred, and more than a quarter of a century after that conviction and sentence, Henry was finally immobilized on a gurney in the death chamber of Florida State Prison in the late afternoon of March 20th 2014 awaiting his execution. The official witnesses, and the families of the victims were watching the proceedings from an adjacent room. The warden announced that Henry wished to read a statement that were to be his last words. The assistant warden approached Henry’s right side and held the clip board with the pre written statement Henry wished to read. Henry lifted his head and calmly read his statement. He apologized to the families of the victims, he complimented the prison staff for the professional manner in which they were conducting the process. He then read: “Hopefully, in the not-so-distant future, this society shall truly evolve in its law and practice, in that if we are not a society who are comfortable with castrating and raping a rapist, and we do not chop off the hands of thieves, well then, why would we continue to be murderers to those who have murdered? Many would argue that is the law, and my counter would be, so too was slavery. Please consider that even though Henry confessed to two, cruel, brutal murders, he cast himself as a victim. One of the victim’s family members leaned forward toward the viewing window and very quietly said, “Die”.
Henry’s family did not attend to the execution. Nor had they testified in his behalf during the penalty portion of the trial even though they lived in Broward County. We were escorted out and returned to the facility where we had first gathered. Each of the family members said that they felt as if a huge burden had been lifted from their shoulders. After 27 years, justice had been done. My colleague and I left the facility and returned to south Florida. |
