Letters to the editor with pictures since 2002. Published on Big Pine Key’s garbage days, Tuesdays and Fridays.
[Masks No Good] A 2020 study published by the CDC for WHO shows no evidence of surgical or cloth masks being effective in containing or preventing a virus. Since they are futile and harmful, you really need to question why they are mandated? Link
[Poison] Why manchineel might be earth’s most dangerous tree. The fruits are the most obvious threat, earning manchineel the name manzanita de la muerte, or “little apple of death,” from Spanish conquistadors. Resembling a small green crabapple about 1 to 2 inches wide, the sweet-smelling fruits can cause hours of agony — and potentially death — with a single bite. Link
|[Friday Joke] A new and easy self-test for the horror of Covid-19 is doing the rounds and it’s simple, quick and positive (or negative if you see what I mean). Take a glass and pour a decent dram of your favorite adult strength beverage into it then see if you can smell it. If you can, then you are halfway there. Then drink it all. If you can taste it then it is reasonable to assume you are currently free of the virus because the loss of the sense of smell and taste is an early common symptom. I tested myself 7 times last night and was virus free every time thank goodness. I will have to test myself again today because I have developed a throbbing headache which can also be one of the symptoms. I’ll report my results later.
[Omens] Why do I have a bad feeling that the rest of 2020 isn’t going to get any better?

[Growing Up] Remember how when you were little you could just rip off your diaper and run around naked and everyone thought it was so cute and funny? Anyway, I need bail money!
|[GMO] Scientists have found that a vaccine can be delivered in edible form using genetically modified plants. It is estimated that enough GMO edible vaccine for all of China could be grown on one 40 acre plot.
For me, this is one more reason to buy certified organic, but for those of you who trust science: eat up, guinea pig! If we are going to have massive depopulation, we may as well start with the most stupid sheeple. Here is the pharmaceutical journal abstract: Link
|[Legal Criminals] The French Sureto, like the German SS, the American CIA, and Russian NKVD, are zealots who brutalize and kill thinking they are defending their countries. These are the scariest people on the planet because they kill when their bosses tell them to. They talk themselves into believing they are making their country a better place. Often they are told to go into the streets and start riots and spread falsehoods, so their government can justifiably sending in the troops to kill citizens in mass and quell a revolt that way. The CIA did that in 1981 in order to overthrow the first (and last) democratic President in Iran. Rajai remained in office for less than one month, with both he and his prime minister assassinated and Ali Khamenei “elected”.

2. By the 14th Century, the Chinese government was mass-producing it.

5. Global toilet paper demand uses nearly 30,000 trees every day.
6. That’s 10 million trees a year. You

[Black Lives Don’t Matter (to White cops)] Here’s a scenario for you. A White man with an AR-15 slung around his neck walks down the middle of the street — while people scream that he just shot two people! Cops in an armored vehicle drive past. If a Black man walks down the street with an AR-15 slung around his neck and people scream that he just shot two people an officer would pop out of the turret and light him up. Convince me I’m wrong.
|[Captain Hans Baumgarten] In 1991 Captain Hans Baumgarten, on the right with the plaid trousers in the photo, was murdered by two Cuban men who chartered his boat to go fishing. They paid him from a big roll of cash. Instead they murdered him, dumped his body overboard and took his boat to Cuba. Boaters found his body and he was cremated and his ashes spread in the NW Channel. His ashes blew back onto the mourners at the stern of the Gulfstream. The Gulfstream had a new captain that day who didn’t consider the wind direction when stopping the boat to dump the ashes.
Hans was a good guy. Always relaxed. He gave me advice once at the docks where I was pondering the drilling of holes in my new boat to mount stuff. He laughed and said, “Don’t worry about it.”
Sharks are the only animals that never get sick. They are even immune to every known disease including cancer, but they do die quickly if they swim near the Florida Keys or in the Delaware River Bay or China.
|[Blaming The Victim] A body cam video of the George Floyd death in custody that was held back by the courts has been leaked. This is from OYE.news: “The footage shows Floyd relentlessly resisting arrest, lying about his mother ‘just dying’ (she died two year ago), lying about not being on drugs and most significant of all, he asked to be placed on the ground – because he couldn’t breath.
This doesn’t change the fact that for 8 minutes a police officer held Floyd down with a knee to Floyd’s neck, a restraining method commonly used up until this event, but it should nevertheless raise the question:
Was this racially motivated police brutality?
Or simply, one high black guy being arrested, reacting badly due to his toxicity levels and tragically resulting in a heart attack – which the restraint certainly would not have helped. But is most definitely not the sole cause of Floyd’s death?
I know the topic is a hard one to discuss, because of course you are a 100% certified racist if you question the validity of the official narrative surrounding George Floyd’s death.
But, it’s hard to deny from what we know now, this isn’t just a ‘big friendly giant’ minding his own business being brutally murdered by four police officers.
Police Brutality exists, racism exists – but that does not mean every single death of a black man or woman in the custody of a Police officer is racist brutality. It doesn’t, and if you cannot see this simple fact, you are part of the problem.
Question everything, right now this is the most important thing you can do.”
|The CDC yesterday said wearing masks does not prevent the spread of Covid-19. What? I’m so fed up with conflicting instructions and no leadership at all. Are we all doomed? Is there nothing we can do? And people ask me why I drink.
|Not to brag, but my cooking is the reason my family became a vegans.
[Adolph] He was deeply insecure about his own lack of knowledge, preferring to either ignore information that contradicted his preconceptions, or to lash out at the expertise of others. He hated being laughed at but enjoyed it when other people were the butt of the joke (he would perform mocking impressions of people he disliked). But he also craved the approval of those he disdained, and his mood would quickly improve if a newspaper wrote something complimentary about him. Does this remind you of?
|[Masks Are The New Bra] They aren’t comfortable, you only wear them in public, people will notice when you don’t wear one, and you can now get them in every color pattern and style.
|[Quarantine] Someone just used my driveway to turn around and now I’m standing outside with two open beers and lonely face. Aww.
