miracles10[God’s Will] Thank God, for the great ability the Miami Heat have been showing in basketball

Thank God, that Hurricane Sandy devastated New Jersey and not us

Thank God that we were not killed here in the U.S. while all those European, men, women and children were killed, butchered and slaughtered during WWII

Thank God that those three women were finally found after 10 years of torture and non repairable mental trauma! If this were you who had suffered ten years of brutality I wonder if you would thank God?

Thank God that 9/11 occurred in NYC and not here

Thank God that we are free while the rest of Asia gets slaughtered by their governments

Thank God Bush is no longer the President

Thank God that Jews don’t believe Jesus is the messiah

What makes me laugh, is that most Christians, when they read this, they automatically assume that one is an atheist. I am not an atheist. I just don’t believe that Jehovah is my God, or the true God of the world and the universe. The bible says that no man can judge another, that the only judge of humanity is God Jehovah. Why are Christians always so judging of everyone?

[Genetically Modified Food] Why are there so many people allergic to peanuts, milk and wheat? It never was like that before GMO. I believe it’s caused by the genetically modified foods we are forced to eat. Because of GMOs our species is mutating

[Dirtbag Ex] I recently learned my ex (that smelly old liveaboard who sports the very short shorts, weaving palm, extremely angry) was denied a firearm purchase at your local gun shop. Thank you to the owner for the check as he was denied a good 10 yrs ago when he tried to buy 2 shotguns at a gun show in Wisconsin. He is mean, evil, been arrested many times!. Yes I am a gun advocate and truly good people should own one, but not my ex, at least not legally. There are some exceptional people on BPK; I sure do miss them!, but I have to keep at least 3000 miles between me and that very bad man. He is 10 yrs older than me and always drunk, so there is a good chance I can come back in the near future. Peace out good folks on BPK,  may you rest a little easier.

So Dude, your comment didn’t help me out and in this regard there is nothing wrong with me. My original question was about an existing local radio station and its operation. Or rather its lack of proper operation. Anyone else know what is wrong with the station?

[Joke] Detroit Residents Stunned. Police in Detroit last night announced the discovery of an arms cache of 200 semi-automatic rifles with 25,000 rounds of ammunition, 200 pounds of heroin, 5 million in forged US banknotes and 25 trafficked Latino prostitutes — all in a semi-detached house behind the Public Library on Woodward Ave.

Local residents were stunned, and a community spokesman said: “We’re all shocked. We never knew we had a library.”

Did you know it would take 40 Blu-ray discs, 212 DVDs, 1,498 CDs, or 728,178 3.5″ floppy disks to backup a single 1TB hard drive. They make 2,4,8, TB hard dives now. What’s this tell you? It tells me to back up everything to DVD or Blueray disks because if the 1TB HDD fails, all is gone forever! Poof in a nano second!

Our school superintendent could do a much better job to contract a former school board member that just happened to be in place during the $40 million dollar construction of one of our newest schools.  It seems as if, for the $250 per hour, we are paying a fresh set of eyes that is qualified to review the actions taken during the construction of the HOB project, could actually do much better.

The Deep Web is web-based content that is not found in search engine results. Unlike Darknets, wherein the content is explicitly encrypted and kept from public view, most of the Deep Web content is invisible to search engines and their users simply because there are no links (URLs) pointing to the content. For example, if you created a website and never published the URLs of the pages or linked to them from a publicly accessible main page, the chances that a search engine would find and index those pages are next to zero. I imagine that the size of the Deep Web is thousands of times larger than the public Web — the portion of the Web indexed by search engines.

[Genetically Modified Food] Leading Environmental Activist’s Blunt Confession: I Was Completely Wrong To Oppose GMOs

If you fear genetically modified food, you may have Mark Lynas to thank. By his own reckoning, British environmentalist helped spur the anti-GMO movement in the mid-‘90s, arguing as recently at 2008 that big corporations’ selfish greed would threaten the health of both people and the Earth. Thanks to the efforts of Lynas and people like him, governments around the world—especially in Western Europe, Asia, and Africa—have hobbled GM research, and NGOs like Greenpeace have spurned donations of genetically modified foods.

But Lynas has changed his mind—and he’s not being quiet about it. On Thursday at the Oxford Farming Conference, Lynas delivered a blunt address: He got GMOs wrong. According to the version of his remarks posted online (as yet, there’s no video or transcript of the actual delivery), he opened with a bang:

“I want to start with some apologies. For the record, here and upfront, I apologize for having spent several years ripping up GM crops. I am also sorry that I helped to start the anti-GM movement back in the mid 1990s, and that I thereby assisted in demonizing an important technological option which can be used to benefit the environment.

As an environmentalist, and someone who believes that everyone in this world has a right to a healthy and nutritious diet of their choosing, I could not have chosen a more counter-productive path. I now regret it completely.

So I guess you’ll be wondering—what happened between 1995 and now that made me not only change my mind but come here and admit it? Well, the answer is fairly simple: I discovered science, and in the process I hope I became a better environmentalist.”

Wow, look what happens when a lefty actually takes the time to read the science! So instead of walking the bridge, open your mind, leave the cult and read some science. Link

an_bulb-flourescent[Only CFL light bulbs must be in use by 2014] It’s over 2 years since Texas Congressman Ted Poe delivered this brilliant message and we still have not repealed this senseless law.  It’ll make you laugh and it is short.  Watch the guy behind this TX congressman — don’t know if he’s a Democrat or Republican — and as he starts to listen, he (the guy behind) starts getting into what the Speaker’s saying. I’ve heard this on TV but not this delivery. This is actually the truth about these dumb lightbulbs. Mercury is dangerous.

Bureaucracy gone crazy and some people wonder why there is zero confidence in government.  And, now they control health care through a 1,900 page health care bill that has created nearly 200,000 pages of laws, regulations and taxes.  What could go wrong? Video

This person has tried all the normal polite ways and still they come. It is a strong case for harassment. Does this person have to go to the police and get a restraining order to have some peace at their home. It is an ongoing problem and has to be stopped. Help.

[Climate Fail] The claim: 50 million climate refugees will be produced by climate change by the year 2010. Especially hard hit will be river delta areas, and low lying islands in the Caribbean and Pacific. The UN 62nd General assembly in July 2008 said:  …it had been estimated that there would be between 50 million and 200 million environmental migrants by 2010.

The test: Did population go down in these areas during that period, indicating climate refugees were on the move? The answer, no.

The proof: Population actually gained in some Caribbean Island for which 2010 census figures were available. Then when challenged on these figures, the UN tried to hide the original claim from view. See: The UN “disappears” 50 million climate refugees, then botches the disappearing attempt

The change in claim: Now it is claimed that it will be 10 years into the future, and there will be 50 million refugees by the year 2020. Link

[Joke] I went fishing this morning, but after a short time I ran out of worms. Then I saw a cottonmouth with a frog in its mouth. Frogs are good bass bait. Knowing the snake couldn’t bite me with the frog In its mouth, I grabbed It right behind the head, took the frog, and put it in my bait bucket. Now the dilemma was how to release the snake without getting bit. So I grabbed my bottle of Jack Daniels and poured a little whiskey In its mouth. Its eyes rolled back, and It went limp. I released the snake Into the lake without incident and continued on fishing, using the frog. Not long after, I felt a nudge on my foot. It was that damn snake, with two more frogs. Life is good.

[Joke] A jet is making its final approach into St. John’s Airport. The pilot comes on the intercom and announces, “Ladies and gentlemen, this is your Captain. We’re on our final descent into St. John’s Newfoundland. I want to thank you all for flying with us today and hope you enjoy your stay on the Rock.”

He forgets to switch off the intercom. Now the whole plane can hear his conversation from the cockpit. The co-pilot can be heard saying to the pilot, “So, Skip, whatcha got planned while we’re on the Rock?” “Well”, says the skipper, “first I’m gonna check into the hotel, take a big crap, then I’m gonna take that new stewardess with the huge tits out for dinner. I’m gonna wine and dine her, take her back to my room and give her a ride on the baloney pony all night long.”

Aghast and amused, everyone on the plane hears this and immediately begins looking up and down the aisle, trying to figure out who this new stewardess is that the pilot’s talking about. Meanwhile, the new stewardess is seated at the very back of the plane. She is so embarrassed that she starts running toward the cockpit to turn the intercom off. Halfway down the aisle, she trips over an old lady’s bag and down she goes. The old lady leans over and says, “No need to hurry, dear. He’s gotta land the plane and take a crap first.”

sheet-ct[Captain Doom and Gloom] We are in a war, a Food War. When a person has to work on average of 4.5 hours to earn enough net income to buy a 6 OZ can of salted peanuts or a bag of Chips or a freaking can of beans, it is time to do something about the greedy food Gods in this country. Before we even get into Benghazi let’s have a Congressional whoop-dee-doo over Bush leading us into the bogus Iraq war that got 4k of our heroes killed and many thousand maimed for life. I can’t hear you super patriot Republican on this one … I still can’t hear you … still waiting.

First the good news:  fewer than 25% of NY Senate Democrats under investigation!

“Federal investigators were tracking nine Democrats in a probe involving State Senator Shirley Huntley, who wore a wire to record conversations with her colleagues. Almost a quarter of the state Senate’s Democratic conference was in the FBI’s cross hairs last year, according to a court filing unsealed Wednesday. Separate filings indicate that only one of the nine investigated Democrats is believed to have done nothing criminally negligent.”

This came from a dream I had last night and this will never happen and that’s a bad thing.

“In America live Americans. Any minority, from anywhere, if it wants to live in America, to work and eat in America, should speak American, and should respect the American laws.”

If they prefer Sharia Law, then we advise them to go to those places where that’s the state law. America does not need any more illegal minorities. Minorities need America, and we will not grant them special privileges, or try to change our laws to fit their desires, no matter how loud they yell ‘discrimination’.

We better learn from the suicidal cowardly ways of the Islamic race, if we are to survive as a nation. The American customs and traditions are not compatible with the lack of culture or the primitive ways of most minorities. When this honorable legislative body thinks of creating new laws, it should have in mind the national interest first, observing that Sharia Law is not American way and will never be.

Obamacare is not supposed to be free. Only Right wing websites keep saying that hoping the program will fail, as they wish for anything good for the common American to fail.

NO NAME KEY ELECTRIC

NNK Electricity–The BOCC has consistently voted wrongly, helped by misguided legal advice. Being wrong and continuing to vote punitively is not just dogmatic, and rigid, but harmful and punitive. After years of injustice, we on the island are hearing that we must wait for the language of the Comp Plan to be changed before we can have relief. Logic and law have been abused, far too long. My generator, that I freely admit to resenting, quit four days ago. Heat stroke seemed an immediate threat. (My age has become a factor.) This was followed by another health threat, that of a heart attack because I was billed $1,328.00 for the repairs.

As if that was not shock enough, I spend an average of $500-$700 a month on diesel fuel; more in the summer. I just had the tank filled this week for $872. It might last until the middle of June? Madness–all because of authoritarianism, cronyism, an attorney and a commissioner quibbling and deferring over the word, “discourage” (which referred to future building, not 15-30 year old approved homes, and additionally irrelevant to electricity). Nothing like this exists in these United States on any island, state or federal land. “Criminal” is a more appropriate word.
