(Editor: OOops! I posted the Coconut Telegraph yesterday, on Monday, by mistake. I thought it was Tuesday.)

[France’s idea for Groundhog Day] On February 2nd is a French tradition to eat a stack of pancakes (crêpes) accompanied by apple cider. It beats looking for a rodent’s shadow.
Makers of the world’s largest 3D printer just beat their own record. Factory of the Future 1.0 can construct entire homes out of sustainable polymer materials. Link
The re-paving and new lines on U.S.1 on Ramrod Key is (finally!) almost done. It’s so much smoother than a year ago. The contractor, Snail’s Pace Construction, is doing a fine job.
You folks can keep saying 60 is the new 40 all you want, but I will tell you it didn’t keep Monroe County Mounties from writing me a $202 ticket Saturday afternoon.
[Conspiracy Theories] Except for aliens, there are more conspiracy theories about history than anything else. There are people who believe that Shakespeare’s plays were really by the Earl of Oxford, that JFK was assassinated by the Illuminati, that the Merovingians were descended from Christ. But none of these come close to the weirdness that Jean Hardouin dreamed up. A 17th-century French priest, Hardouin convinced himself that almost every book written before AD c.1300 – including by the Gospels, the Church Fathers, and almost all Greek and Latin literature – was a forgery. [Trademark Fight] A small Costa Rican supermarket has emerged victorious from a legal battle against the renowned video game giant, Nintendo. José Mario Alfaro González, owner of “Super Mario” in San Ramón de Alajuela, found himself in an unexpected legal showdown when he attempted to formally register his store’s name. In Costa Rica, the term “super” is often used as shorthand for “supermarket.”
What began as a routine trademark registration process turned into a clash of the titans when Nintendo of America filed an appeal, claiming exclusive rights to the “Super Mario” name. The video game behemoth, creator of iconic titles like Super Mario Bros., asserted that the name was registered under its trademark in various classes, including clothing, games, and accessories. [Water Quality] This Polish city is using mussels to monitor water quality. While all water professionals are aware of the delicate balance between human systems and biological indicators, the thought of relying on the mechanisms of mussels to safeguard a city’s population from polluted drinking water takes trust in nature to new heights. [Wanted: singers and musicians] The Lower Keys Community Choir and the Keys Chamber Orchestra will be performing Easter concerts on April 1, 2, and 3rd. We rehearse on Big Pine Key on Sunday afternoons. If you are interested in joining our choir or orchestra, please email KeysChamberOrchestra@gmail.com.

[Immigration] You know I haven’t heard about any immigration raids in Boston which has a large illegal Irish population or the Keys where you can’t swing a dead cat without hitting an illegal Canadian. Or what about the large numbers of illegal Russians? Why is this? Does it have to do with the color of their skin?
[Deleted Channel] What a “nice” way to start a week! Our channel on YouTube has been deleted due to “spam and deceptive policies”. Which is the biggest WTF moment in our brand’s history on social platforms. We have only posted demos of our own original products, never anything else. I took the liberty of making some noise on Hacker News about this, hopefully it will gain some traction and be noticed by someone who can do something about it. These days it feels like the only way you get resolution to this automated bullshit is to post on some social media platform or other.
[Grammys] Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar win Grammy awards. A visibly shocked Beyoncé also won for best country album, saying she “really was not expecting this” as she accepted the award. “Sometimes genre is a codeword to keep us in our place as artists and I just want to encourage people to do what they’re passionate about,” she said. [Average Income] I noticed that your article references an outdated stat. You mentioned that the median annual household income in the U.S is “$51,017”. Based on our most recent data, these figures have been updated, and according to the latest data, the median household income in the US is about $80,610.
[Cats] Why does my cat suddenly go from sitting contentedly to rocketing from the room like lightning for no apparent reason? Or why does it sit in a corner and meow at the wall? Can cats see a parallel dimension?
