Great White caught off Islamorada May 13. Catch Me If You Can charters.

Promo Video provided by Nira Tocco. “Big Pine & The Lower Keys — The Natural Keys” Video

[Marathon Corrupt] The puppet City Manager Hernstadt who makes more than the Governor of Florida, has hired a new building official, and despite what some contractors were told, roughly 20 applicants applied. It was Hernstadt’s decision alone to  hire. Several of the applicants had the licenses and experience reflecting excellence.  One was licensed, 17 years experience, a master code professional, and there were  engineers with licenses. Most were willing to work for less, but who does Hernstadt hire?  A man with just a contractor’s license, no inspector’s licenses or planning licenses, or much else, looking at his resume.

Only four were interviewed. Why Bennet Cinquegrana? He was the contractor on Mario  DeGennaro’s house and Ralph Lucignano’s Plaza Grill restaurant. He hasn’t even got the qualifications of his subordinate. He was forced to get a provisional license, commercial electrical inspections with no years in the trade. Sound fishy? Deserve investigation and explanation?  Wake up.

Why would a knowledgeable manager hire an unlicensed, unqualified applicant? It appears the decision wasn’t his. ~David Maimon

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. ~Thomas Edison

Hi everybody, I have a beautiful house for sale in Eden Pines. Please watch this Video. ~Nira Tocco

[My God’s Better Than Yours] A poster yesterday trashed Mormans, Jehova’s Witnesses and other large-following cults only to go on about his belief that One Human Family is better. I guess his One Human Family doesn’t tolerate others.

Graph of global sea surface temperatures. Draw your own trend line. The right doesn’t deny climate  change we simply and scientifically refuse to participate in the outrageous lie that is climate change as presented by he left.  Each of these graphs are produced by data gathered and graphs plotted by NOAA of the united states federal government.

The science shows there  has been zero increase in extreme weather events. The left has lied to intentionally create fear. The left hopes to use that fear to manipulate ideological changes both economic and political. The tragedy for humanity is this gross lie has created a cult of anti science leftist fanaticals who worship ideological despots and attempt to use fear and threats to promote their wretched intolerance and hate. Wine is for snobs to get shitfaced like the rest of us.

[Gun Nuts] We can’t have a rational gun debate because the anti-gun side pre-supposes that their pro-gun opponents must first accept that guns are bad in order to have a discussion about guns in the first place. Link

The Marathon zipline is good and bad. Good for Marathon because they’ll be a reason for tourists to go there. They love amusement parks, just ask Mickey. Bad for Crane Point Hammock conservationists. Although the place will finally be able to support itself financially, the hammock environment they’re trying to preserve will be gone–just another roadside attraction.

chart14To the left is a little chart I created today to illustrate the content of the Coconut Telegraph during the first full week of May starting on the 5th. The legend is:

-Original Content – This is pretty obvious, these posts are ones written by someone with something to say.

-Copy Pasta – Internet slang for Copy & Paste. These posts are just someone who copies a link, text or picture from somewhere else and posts it here.

-PSA – Public Service Announcement, not Prostate Specific Antigen. Calm down guys.

-Cancer – Also internet slang for toxic content. These are the posts that are cancerous to the CT and could eventually kill it if left unchecked. Most of guilty parties have left us but the FTR guy hangs on because he is fed. His posts and any that support/attack him are all cancerous.

These are all my opinions and not necessarily those of the Editor or his fine sponsors. And, yes, I do have too much time on my hands.

[Lights on All Night] Why do the newbies that move into your neighborhood always leave all the outside lights on all night? Do they think the boogie man will get them? What a bunch of pussies. Turn off the damn lights!

an_shiver-gnomeIt’s May in Wisconsin and the gentle breezes blow,
70 miles per hour at 52 below.
Oh, how I love Wisconsin,
When the snow’s up to your butt;
You take a breath of winter air,
And your nose is frozen shut.
Yes, the weather here is  wonderful,
You may think I’m a fool.
I could never leave Wisconsin,
Cause I’m frozen to the stool.

[Dead] An Islamorada flats guide was killed Sunday night when his boat ran into the mangroves in a popular cut-through section of mangroves, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Brent Allen Johnson, 41, was  found in the water at the bottom of the narrow cut known locally as the “wheel ditch” after his 23- foot yellow, Pathfinder bay boat drove about 50 feet into the mangroves with the motor running and music playing on the radio at 8:15 p.m. ~KW Citizen

[Developers] The editorial from the Key West Citizen Sunday makes some good points, but fail to mention that Balfour Beatty’s attorneys lied to the Judge and the City Commission as to the numbers of civilians actually living in their privatized housing.

Fanci Seafood will be closed on Sundays until August. Everyone have a great summer!

[Canals] County commission agreed in March to set aside $5 million for canal restoration projects. If approved Wednesday, the county would pay AMEC Environment & Infrastructure Inc $37,725 “to perform an extensive analysis of the existing canal  documentation” and “conduct  field visits to an estimated 502  canals in the county,” according to the contract. The firm  will make recommendations of the top 15 sites in need of  restoration. The county’s Canal  Restoration Subcommittee will  whittle down the list to five.  That comes to $1,007,545 for each canal tune-up!

Canadian Astronaut Chris Hadfield records the first music video from space on Sunday. The song is his cover version of David Bowie’s ‘Space Oddity.’ Video

[Cultists and Religious Types] They know more about what they believe to be true than what they believe to be false.

[Big Brother] “Childbearing [should be] a punishable crime against society, unless the parents hold a government license. All potential parents [should be] required to use contraceptive chemicals, the government issuing antidotes to citizens chosen for childbearing.”  ~David Brower Former executive director of the Sierra Club and founder of Friends of the Earth. [Gun Nuts] The head of the New Orleans Police Department says investigators have  made significant progress in their investigation of a Mother’s Day shooting that wounded 19 people.

[Wood] Light up your life in so many ways with Torchwood. Torchwood (Amyris elemifera) has such strong resinous properties that it was named after them both in the scientific name and the more familiar common name. Elemifera means resin bearing in Greek.

Don’t confuse it with Poisonwood that looks just like it, only a tree and not a bush like Torchwood. Link

[Weather Graph Guy] Bashing anyone not on your side is not just foolish, but lame. Go ahead, keep pulling graphs out of context, but it does not change the fact that you are only cherry picking data while the world seems to be changing.

[‘I will always love youuuuuuuuu’] Woman kicked off plane for refusing to stop singing Whitney Houston song. Link

[Lost Dog Found] The Bassett hound was found today in Kohen subdivision. Thank you all for all efforts made.

[“Pay for cable to watch commercials”] Get the advertisement company EMA and tell them you will never buy their products because you hate to pay for their commercials on TV that you already pay a fortune to watch.

[Canals] Sunday afternoon a couple of guys were going around the canals in Eden Pines measuring the water depth as well as the depth of the sediment on the bottom of the canals at specific locations.  I still can not understand why we are spending money on anything to do with the canals when most of the people around me are using the canals as a place to blow or throw their trash and yard waste.  I am constantly pulling stuff out of the water from my shore line, but it seems to be a losing battle.

Tomorrow, Wednesday is the Monroe County Board of Commissioner’s meeting, if you are really interested in the future of this county, don’t miss that meeting!  It is in Key Largo, but if you can’t go watch it on Comcast 76 or online on the County’s website.

The Commissioner who was the former Clerk is now the only voice of reason, but we’ve got to come out and support him before the evil forces pollute him.

[Weather Graphs] Just because you cherry pick a graph from NOAA, and it doesn’t go up, that does not mean that climate change is a farce.  The last one was of percentage change of an index of extremes  with no explanation of what the index measured.

There is no “left science” and  “right science”.  It’s science, not a belief system.  Want a graph ? Try this one out.

[Arrogant Apple] Apple asks people to insecurely email copies of sensitive personal documents and users are required to give Apple “global consent” of any data entered or recorded by their devices, including one’s personal location and activity. Link

[Bad Link] I tried to pull up the link for yesterday’s ‘listen to your writing” post  and got “Page Not Found”.
[Zipline] Better know the trashing of the Keys is a disgusting, low rent, carnival level, useless toy and should be dropped from our Paradise agenda ASAP. Quit playing with what is behind your zipline politicos and get the damn sewage system done cheaply.

No Name Key faced another minor setback in their attempt to get on the power grid. It is rumored that they are attempting to recruit the now-defunct IKC to do the follow-up with their investigation.

Enough with the zombie flicks. If I want to see soulless corpses I’ll go to work.

virgins14[Captain Doom and Gloom] “virgins” I know that they are as rare today as the wide-mouth frog – but if you know any, please pass this on.

“Answering the door to cultists naked” That suggestion was only meant for people with something worth looking at, not “little” people.

“Jehovah’s Witnesses” They have the most horny chickies in the world, so take it from there.

“FTR”Most of us who can read the words are on your side FTR. It is those few posters that only have words of ridicule and ineptness that bother to say nothing important that knock you. Keep up your right to freedom of speech, we are with you.

[Benghazi] FOX News broke it down to whether the President called the attack terrorism or not. I still don’t understand the problem. So what, whatever he called it? they’re dead and the bad guys are still winning. Lets do something about that instead of all this useless political wrangling over a word.

“Patriotism, the last refuge of a scoundrel.”  Makes me think of some members of  today’s Republican Party and their flag wrapped fellow travelers.

Hey FTR guy and your ilk. Having trouble controlling your anger or remembering you lost an election? Ask your doctor if Benghazi is right for you.

[Benghazi] Deer Republicans, ask yourselves if Romney were President and Benbghazi occurred just as it did under Obama, would you be making such an issue of it or would you be trying to prevent such a disaster in the future? I thought so.

The Benghazi bruhahaha in fact is just another right wing conspiracy theory. They imagine that if it could happen then it must have happened.

Everyone had better concentrate on the IRS investigation of the Tea Party instead. That’s a real problem. Now that the Right has a real problem maybe they’ll focus on that.

Cast out the scribes and Pharisees and money changers from the hallowed halls of Washington and return them to the people.

[Benghazi] Cover-up  what cover-up  I saw it on TV. It was burning and there were a bunch of screeming memees outside yelling Allah! How can you cover-up that? When are the politicos going to remember everyone from Obamaland saying–“we don’t know what happened yet, We’ll let you know more when we do, Here’s all we know right now, We’ll punish those responsible, This won’t happen again, etc”. Jeeze, talk about a side show. Is this all they’ve got on Obama?
