[Coverings] How is it that you have already received your booster shot when the method of delivery has not been set up yet? Are you just bs-ing? Secondly, the best way for women not to get pregnant is to force you men to use condoms, get vasectomies, or women should just avoid you guys like the plague. I can’t stand it when men tell women what they can and cannot do with their own bodies. You are all so bent on acting like you don’t bear any responsibility Or is it just too inconvenient? Again, making a big deal about wearing protection of any kind.  Wear a mask. Get vaccinated. Wear a condom. Stop impregnating women!
The post-9/11 flight security changes you don’t see. A shift in attitude towards handling hijackings is just one of the many complex and often controversial changes instituted over the past 20 years. Link
[COVID-19 vaccines] Get the facts. Looking to get the facts about the new COVID-19 vaccines? Here’s what you need to know about the different vaccines and the benefits of getting vaccinated. Link
Looe Key Resort sold for $6M plus, the Wreck and Galley has sold again too; and Turtle Kraals is closed! KW is a ghost town compared to years past and Fantasy Fest is gasping for breath to even be relevant this year. At what point will people start living again? Or are we all ready to die thanks to the virus. The Bahamas are dead, still reeling from Dorian, Louisiana is suffering again and Haiti is all but forgotten. At what point will people come to grips with the fact that the virus is here to stay and get back to living? 99.5% survive. No one promised you’d live forever
The newest Roomba is finally smart enough to avoid pet poop. iRobot just made a POOP guarantee. It uses artificial intelligence and computer vision to watch out for solid pet waste, recognize if an unwelcome surprise happens to be in its way, and make moves to avoid it. Link
[“Going out of business”] Does anyone know what the Lutherans are selling their church on Key Deer Blvd for? Is the holiness part of it included?

[Robo Calls] Enough of the freaking robot calls. We are suffering with a world plague and all these blood suckers want is money donations 24/7, especially the police and firefighters calls.

[“Texas abortion law”] Reasonable people can disagree about when a zygote becomes a “human life” – that’s a philosophical question. However, regardless of whether or not one believes a fetus is ethically equivalent to an adult, it doesn’t obligate a mother to sacrifice her body autonomy for another, innocent or not.

The first water on Mars.

[Captain Doom] I really do pity the politicos in the Keys when the low rent trash in these cracker box developments start to rape and pillage the ‘hood because there is no work after the middle and upper classes sell out and get the hell out of here.
[Stealthing] The term has long been used within the gay community, often referring to HIV-positive men who purposefully try to infect someone else without their knowledge during sex. But stealthing became more widely recognized as a problem in 2017, after then-law student Alexandra Brodsky (author of the book Sexual Justice) published a Columbia Journal of Gender and Law paper about people who non-consensually remove condoms during sex. National Refuge Week is happening on a limited basis this October.  First event is kayaking, Tuesday October 12th.  Meet at the north end of Koehns Ave on Big Pine about 10 a.m.  Bring all your own gear.  We will depart at 10:15.  Route and duration are weather dependent.  Free and open to everyone. [Condo Collapse] Key West condo Santa Clara to face $10,000,000 in needed repairs or face condemnation.
Hmmm, 10 million dollar bill divided by 111 residents? Hmm? Does this mean a 90 thousand dollar special assessment to be levied on all owners?
Head for the hills, link inland Florida away from coastal structures where these issues are front center, and tons of units will be deemed unsafe most often.
[?] Looks like the Keys are really going to turn into a holy retreat for the low renters to enjoy Paradise. So much for property values if the affordable housing scam gets it all. It was nice while it lasted!

[Night Blooming Cactus Flower] I have been monitoring it hourly. The first picture is in the late afternoon. The others at 10pm. By morning it will be closed and gone forever.

I bought a little bag of air today. The company that made it was kind enough to put some potato chips in it as well.
[Masks] “Don’t demand that I wear one just to make you feel good” That is exactly why I do demand you wear one: to “just make me feel good” and not get sick from your stinky virus.

300,000,000 guns in the USA. There’s no telling how many more aren’t registered.
Mister Saturday Night Special

[Hurricane Mud] Why wasn’t there any mud from Hurricanes Wilma or Georges? We were flooded by both with salt water, but there was no mud. The water just went down. When Irma hit we had very fine silt everywhere and it wasn’t until a couple of weeks when we were able to get a pressure washer to remove the last of this disgusting and stinky silt.

y7u7I’ve been barking for twenty minutes and you keep telling me to shut up. Anyway, your car is gone.

[Name That Moth] I call these giant moths “bat moths” because I don’t know their real name. I saw them mating for the first time on one of the structural columns of our house.

[Afghan Immigrants] The biggest change in the 20 years since 9/11 is we no longer need to import our terrorists.

[Vaccine] Meanwhile in the Florida panhandle…
