[Veterans Day Ceremony] Words are inadequate in describing the magnificent performances given by the United States Coast Guard Honor Guard, school band, singers, flag bearers and safety patrol during the Key Largo School Veterans Day Ceremony. Under the extraordinary leadership and direction of Principal Darren Pais, Band Director Susan Bazin and Event Organizer Oksana Gilbertson; a breathtaking and brilliant performance was created and coordinated flawlessly, for the enormous gathering of parents, veterans and families that filled the jam-packed auditorium for this special occasion.

The following day at the Upper Keys Government Center another Veterans Day Observance was conducted. A “Scout Honor Guard” from Troop 912 under the leadership of Ariel Poholek gathered and provided the large audience that had gathered with a spectacular presentation of the “Colors”. These Scouts performed their duties in an absolutely magnificent manner. Next, our “Community Band” under the auspicious direction of Susan Bazin, performed unmistakably beautiful melodies for our audience. Everyone commented to the wonderment and joy this band brought into their lives. They played the Armed Forces Medley, as our fantastically attractive student “Flag Bearers” marched onto the stage and placed their flag into its appropriate holder, while their particular Military Anthem was being played.

The two powerfully potent videos shared with the audience, via the technical direction of Leonardo Morin and Xenia Leonteva were riveting and compelling. County Veterans  Director Cathy Crane, along with her Deputy James Carey and VA Service Officer Kevin Perham made this presentation possible. State Attorney and VFW Post 10211 Commander Dennis Ward’s leadership has been crucial and instrumental in maintaining  and continuing to make this event available for our community.

Colonel Lou Caputo and Captain Spenser Bryan, along with our expertly qualified Key Largo Fire Department and First Responders were in the audience. County Commissioners Holly Raschein and Michelle Coldiron also honored us with their presence. School Board Member Dr. Sue Woltanski provided us with inspirational support from her front row seat. Thank you for making this a wonderful event. ~John Donnelly

Heal yourself with the light of the sun and the rays of the moon. With the sound of the river and the waterfall. With the swaying of the sea and the fluttering of birds. Heal yourself with mint, neem, and eucalyptus. Sweeten with lavender, rosemary, and chamomile. Hug yourself with the cocoa bean and a hint of cinnamon. Put love in tea instead of sugar and drink it looking at the stars. Heal yourself with the kisses that the wind gives you and the hugs of the rain. Stand strong with your bare feet on the ground and with everything that comes from it. Be smarter every day by listening to your intuition, looking at the world with your forehead. Jump, dance, sing, so that you live happier. Heal yourself, with beautiful love, and always remember — you are the medicine!
How come election deniers do not protest when they actually do get elected?
[Covid] Remember the movie Jaws, where the mayor would not stop the tourists so the greedy bastards would not lose money? The same playbook is being used with the Covid 19 plague. How many have to die this time?

Eddie Rickenbacker was the founder of Eastern Airlines. Before WWI he was race car driver. In WWI he was a pilot and became America ‘s first ace. In WWII he was an instructor and military adviser, and he flew missions with the combat pilots. Eddie Rickenbacker is a true American hero.
[“Controlled burn”] Are these “fire protection interagency professionals” the same ones that nearly burned down Port Pine Heights the last time and two other, out of control controlled burns?

[Free Piano] Beautiful Samick spinet piano asnd matching bench. Ivory finish is in perfect shape, no scratches, no termites. It’s free, but you must move it from the second floor and you’ll need to hire a crane to do it. ~ b33043@outlook.com

When my wife snuggles up next to me on the couch and whispers, “I’m not wearing any underwear. Do you know why?” I know I’m about to get a ten-minute lecture on why it’s important to remember to switch the clothes from the washer to the dryer. Just another f**king Saturday night.

Hurricane conspiracy. If you can imagine it, it must be true.

The Fermi Paradox is the term used to describe the lack of evidence for extraterrestrial life in the face of a universe that should be, by the numbers, bursting with it. But we see no signs of alien technology, and our radio telescopes don’t pick up voices from other worlds. Link
[Veteran Days Remembrance] Scout Troop 912, Key Largo Student Flag Barers, Susan Bazin’s Community Band, Leonardo Morin’s Video Presentations, Xenia Leonteva’s auditorium preparations, along with the students of a church group providing each Veteran and their guests a gift bag after the ceremony, made for a truly spectacular and joyful event that honored Veterans at the Murray Nelson Government Center. John Donnelly managed the event masterfully. County and School Officials, Sherriff’s Deputies, Fire Fighters,  First Responders and proud families rounded off the capacity crowd that gathered at this Veteran Days Remembrance. The positive energy emanating from the people in the auditorium was enormous. Thank you all for putting on an amazing and beautiful event.  ~Dwight James
