| [Remembering Combat Casualties] Magnificent undertaking on behalf of Service Members and their Families, “Killed In Action” while in service to our Nation. These “Combat Casualties” have been lost and unidentified for many years. Their families never received the “Purple Heart Medal” recognizing their loved one’s Sacrifice, while acknowledging the grieve and suffering of their Great Loss. It seems to me a coordinated effort given the available technology, can identify and secure the “Purple Heart Award” that our “Veterans Killed In Combat” are entitled to receive.
At the moment I’m incapacitated via injuries and an illness I recently incurred. My computer expertise is rather limited. However, I will do everything within my power to assist in advancing the Cause that’s been proffered, as my health returns. I respect, trust and have great admiration for those I included in this email. You have far greater minds and skills than I do, when it comes to bringing a project such as this to fruition. If it’s possible, perhaps you’d be willing to initiated a solution of sorts, which can begin to bring about a resolution for these Neglected Warriors and their Families. Once back on my feet and able to secure a vehicle, I will travel to and work with any agency or individual that can assist us in securing our objective. I thank you all so very much for the many sacrifices and contributions you’ve continued to make on behalf of our Extended Communities.   The Rotary Satellite Club of Key Largo Sunset, which was chartered in October and meets on Monday evenings added four new members this week for a total of 40 members. Three new members joined the original Rotary Club of Key Largo that meets at Playa Largo Resort & Spa for breakfast every Wednesday. This brings its total to 47 members, for a total of 87 Key Largo Rotarians.
Installed on March 18 were four employees of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office: Deputy Jean Gonzalez, a School Resource Officer with Ocean Studies Charter School, Detective Gil Gonzalez of Districts 6 & 7, Sergeant Nick Whiteman of District 6, and Sergeant James Hager of District 7. Jean was sponsored for membership by Rotarian Christina Boilini and the other three new members were sponsored by Key Largo Rotary Sunset club secretary Detective Sergeant Scott Ward. Business owner Daniel O’Connell; attorney Stephanie Russo who is a partner with Nelson, Mullins, Broad and Cassel; and financial planner Alina Huffman with Raymond James Financial Services were sworn in as new members to the breakfast club on March 20. Danny is a past president of the Rotary Club of Kent Island, Maryland and sponsored by Rotarian Bob Thomas. Key Largo Rotary Sergeant of Arms Christina Cosme sponsored Stephanie and Alina for membership. “We’re thrilled to have doubled the number of Key Largo Rotarians during the last six months.
